What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that websites store on your device. They help sites remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how their pages are used. Some cookies last only for your current browsing session; others stay on your device for a set period.
Essential cookies
These are needed for the site to work. They handle things like remembering whether you've dismissed a notice or which page you're currently on. We can't turn these off because the site won't function properly without them.
Analytics cookies
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to count visits and see which pages are most useful. These cookies help us improve the site but do not identify you personally. The data is aggregated.
Advertising cookies
SafePrepHQ does not currently run advertising. If we add ads or affiliate partnerships in the future, we'll update this page with details about which advertising cookies are used and how you can opt out.
Local storage
In addition to cookies, we use your browser's local storage to save your in-progress quizzes and most recent scores. This data stays on your device and is never sent to us.
How to control cookies
You can accept, block, or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers also let you block third-party cookies specifically. Here's where to find those settings in popular browsers:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of SafePrepHQ from working correctly. Blocking analytics cookies is fine — the site will still function as expected.
